Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude. - Denis Waitley

Photo Challenge - Day One
Wistful, tired luxurious moments of hungover consciousness. Cold walk with friends peppered with yummy mulled wine and loud laughs. Cosy, cuddled-up comfort on a sofa concluded with a hair-shaking solo dance party.

Week Eleven: Day Seven - Thursday
Fulfilling challenges
I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle.

Week Eleven: Day Six - Wednesday
That my job takes me to some pretty special places:
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. - Plato

Week Eleven: Day Five - Tuesday
I don't know if you can see
The changes that have come over me
In these last few days I've been afraid
That I might drift away
So I've been telling old stories, singing songs
That make me think about where I came from
And that's the reason why I seem
So far away today
Oh, but let me tell you that I love you
That I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me
And now I'm going home
If I should become a stranger
You know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia's been everything
I've ever had
Now I have moved and I've kept on moving
Proved the points that I needed proving
Lost the friends that I needed losing
Found others on the way
I have kissed the ladies and left them crying
Stolen dreams, yes there's no denying
I have traveled hard with coattails flying
Somewhere in the wind
Oh, but let me tell you that I love you
That I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me
And now I'm going home
If I should become a stranger
You know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia's been everything
I've ever had
Now I'm sitting here before the fire
The empty room, the forest choir
The flames that could not get any higher
They've withered now they've gone
But I'm steady thinking my way is clear
And I know what I will do tomorrow
When the hands are shaken and the kisses flow
Then I will disappear

Week Eleven: Day Three - Sunday
The little girl on the 344 who played peek-a-boo with me for 15 minutes, then laughed outrageously for 5 minutes which, in turn, made me laugh. She waved goodbye to me as she got off the bus and her innocent joy made my heart happy.

Week Eleven: Day Two - Saturday
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.
-Edgar Allen Poe
Week Eleven: Day One-Friday
Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell.
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to fear from man or beast.
How should we like it were the stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.
Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn.
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.
Were the stars to disappear or die
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel it's total darkness sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.

4) My laugh. It is outrageous & loud and perhaps embarrassing for my companions,
but, by god, it is hearty and true.
5) A perfectly boiled egg.
6) The Coat
I made my song a coat
Covered with embroideries
Out of old mythologies
From heel to throat;
But the fools caught it,
Wore it in the world's eyes
As though they'd wrought it.
Song, let them take it,
For there's more enterprise
In walking naked.
- William Butler Yeats
7) My room at Mum & Dad's: safest place in my world.
